  1. Stonebridge and Anita Kelsey - I love It

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First State - 'Falling'

Big tune on the dancefloor. House beats with trance, a perfect combination!  - Tiesto

Markus Schulz comments on 'First Time'

Anita Kelsey has the most amazing voice and is an incredible writer. We were able to really work together and find a common ground, a feeling that lent itself well to the album. This and Travelling Light' were the two projects I worked on with her. She really writes from the heart.

  1. Richard Durand - Slipping Away

Terminal 4 Recordings

This is quite an epic and is blessed with Anita Kelsey's stunning

vocal.... [her] voice is truly beautiful with a wondrously uplifting

chorus - Jon Nix, aka Frombeyond

Very beautiful vocals - Tiesto

Fantastic vocal - Paul Kershaw, Galaxy FM

One of the best vocals I’ve heard lately - Raver at Concept

  1. Morrison - Do You Think

United Recordings/Dedicated

Jochen Miller and Boy Lamoen deliver yet another cracker on the infamous Dedicated imprint. 'Do You Think' has a plaintive vocal, written and beautifully sung by Anita Kelsey, a chunky bassline and retro synths that all sit well together. Think Gabriel and Dresden meet Way Out West.

Anita Kelsey - Every Kiss

  1. Every Kiss - Anita Kelsey

Extrema

Anita's angelic voice has graced more than a few of the biggest tunes around right now and with Every Kiss she meets up with Work remixer Mischa Daniels who really hits one out of the park here. Mischa's remix results in one of those feel good Latin house stompers that never fails to ignite a room and put asses out on the floor. Joyous horns rolling bass and Anita's vocals tastefully and sparingly applied combine with Daniel's filter magic and ruff beats.

  1. Bluefish feat. Anita - Been Too Long

Electric Music People

The 'Original Vocal Mix' is a stomping progressive house mix, in a similar vein to the duo's massive hit as Evolution, 'Walking On Fire'. Built around Anita Kelsey's stirring vocal, this is a wistful track that starts off heavy but really comes into its own as melodies and flute [sic] turn it into a deep and emotionally charged epic that will stand out in a big way, much like the aforementioned Evolution classic.....

It has indeed 'Been Too Long', but the return of Bluefish has given us a tremendous single that is without a doubt the finest release to grace the Electric Music People imprint yet......

I'm not usually that fussed about vocals but now and again up pops

a beauty and this is one of them!... A tribally progressive track with

outstanding vocals bought in and out to perfection. Def an anthem! 8/8

  1. Fretwell - Fill Me Up

Electrofly

Fretwell has been steadily making a name for himself with great progressive breaks productions but 'Fill Me Up' has to be his best to date. A cracking female vocal soars above rolling rhythms, smooth pads and sublime synths: an anthem in waiting, me thinks....

  1. MEMENTO - New Life

Nitrox Records

A vocal trance production with a fantastic vocal performance by Anita Kelsey whose voice is no stranger to clubland. She did vocal duties on D-Note's Shed my skin and also a Cor Fijneman track ['Healing']. Her dramatic performance here on Memento's New Life is nothing but stellar! The Peter Luts remix is very catchy and his signature sound doesn't let us down.

  1. D*Note - Shed My Skin (Pete Heller Mixes)

Channel 4 Music

Pete Heller's 'Stylus Mix' of 'Shed My Skin' is one of those records that once you've finished playing it you'll be compelled to put the needle on and hear it all over again. Yep - it's that good. It's eight minutes of sheer emotion as the beautiful, haunting vocal from Anita Kelsey rises above lush strings while crisp, techy drums and a gorgeous bassline provide the heartbeat of the track. The flip's 'Stylus Dub' is a tougher affair, but it's the A that you'll pull out in five years' time.

  1. ToyShop feat. Anita - Million Miles

Sunkissed Records

'Summer's on it's way (we hope) and with that it's time for warm vocal records to be placed at the front of the box. And someone's going to have to go some distance to better this effort. The original mix is blissful radio - friendly breakbeat with the stunning vocal from Anita Kelsey (who was the voice on D*Notes 'Shed My Skin') oozing class. Sunkissed boss Bill Hamel and Evolution's Barry Jamieson join forces and deliver a sublime vocal mix and a dub to boot while David Sun offers up a more driving mix weaving in and out of Kelsey's emotive vocal. Not a bad mix across two twelves'

***** TOP TUNE

IDJ Magazine (Progressive House) May 2004

Two twelves with mixes from David Sun, Hamel and Jamieson and the 'original'. All are good enough prog outings and the vocal does work well. However, the Hamel and Jamieson instrumental mix is something else all together. Housey beats build until layered, lush live sounding strings are added [they ARE live - all played by David Sun - Ed], giving the track a sundrenched Balearic sound, before a housey bassline comes in. This really is uplifting and would make a perfect last track of the night. Reminds me of D*Note's 'Shed My Skin'.

DJ Magazine (Progressive / Tribal) April 2004

This single 'Million Miles' comes on two 12 inches with four versions.

The original version is a beautiful piece of music. It's not a house track, but more a slow breakbeat song with the gorgeous vocals from Kelsey floating over a crispy chilled groove.

The remix from Hamel and Jamieson take it all a step higher. This version feels like a summer breeze. The housey bass line, smooth strings and properly layered synth riffs mixed together with the same catchy vocals turn this remix in a high standard poppy disco song. The dub version from these remixers is as one would expect, the same but only with some vocal snippets used as samples.

Last but not least there's a remix from David Sun. It starts with a weird and wonderful atmospheric breakbeat followed by some vocal bits, but when the kick comes in after two minutes, you'll know that this is the progressive version. A little breakdown and some raw synth riffs make this one peak time monster. For me this is the side I'll play in a club.

  1. Innashift feat. Anita - The Unknown

Vinyl Vice

...Anita's evocative and haunting vocals floating over a bed of vibrant percussion that moves freely through the centre. The groove changes as each verse of the vocal unfolds, with a subtle melody hook leading into a drop at the end, setting up the finale and beyond...

  1. Try Me Out feat. Anita

Filter

.... ' Anita Kelsey is, shall we say, a little bit wasted here - although if you're gonna have any kind of featured vocalist, you may as well have a good one and there's no disputing she's that all right (not arf...). Anyway, her presence here lifts the basic contents out of the good enough to keep pile and into the probably 'oughta have it' one............
